Itinerary

  • On your arrival to BIA, your guide will greet you with a flower garland at the Arrival lounge and escort you to the tour coach.
  • You will then be transferred to your hotel in Sigirya.
  • Check in to the Hotel and at leisure to relax.
  • Dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel.
  • After breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa through Beautiful forest areas.
  • Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Great Medieval Kingdom of Polonnaruwa. This was declared as an UNESCO heritage site in 1982. After the demise of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa became the middle historic capital of Sri Lanka (1017 – 1235 AD).
  • Optional – Visit Polonnaruwa archeological site by bicycles
  • Afternoon visit Woodcarving workshop in Polonnaruwa. Wood carving is a form of woodworking by means of a cutting tool (knife) in one hand or a chisel by two hands or with one hand on a chisel and one hand on a mallet, resulting in a wooden figure or figurine, or in the sculpturalornamentation of a wooden object. The phrase may also refer to the finished product, from individual sculptures to hand-worked mouldings composing part of a tracery.
  • Optional - Afternoon enjoy an exclusive private Jeep Safari in Mineriya / Kaudulla or Eco Park National Park. Watch the Great Elephant Gathering at a National Park on this 3 hour private jeep safari. Accompanied by a driver/guide, view the elephants eating, bathing, and playing in their natural environment.
  • Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
  • Enjoy your delicious breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Visit the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress, famous for its frescoes of ‘Celestial Maidens’ is possibly the most impressive site in Sri Lanka. Built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century on the top of a vast 200m granite rock it took seven years to build and was abandoned after 18 years of occupation when the King, defeated by his brother committed suicide. Although it is a steep climb, the views and frescoes are definitely worth the effort. Sigiriya is best visited first thing in the morning or just before sunset when it is cooler and less crowded. Sigiriya is a UNESCO world heritage site.
  • Enjoy a village trek in Hiriwadunna village. Reach Trekking starting point and continue your trekking with a guide who knows all about this village. Trek through the archetypal Sri Lankan village. You will experience your tour with a boat ride and bullock cart ride up to a village house where you will enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch. The lunch will be cooked by a local village house wife with your support.
  • Return back to hotel and at leisure.
  • Dinner and overnight overnight accommodation at hotel.
  • After breakfast proceed to Kandy.
  • On your way visit the Golden Rock Cave Temple in Dambulla. The cavesdates back to the 1st century BC. They are sited on a gigantic granite outcrop, which towers over 160m above the surrounding land. The inside of the caves are completely covered by ancient frescoes of Buddha. Many statues have been carved out of living rock, the largest of which is 15m long dipicts the passing away of the Buddha.
  • En route visit a Spice garden in Matale. Here you’ll find in abundance the great scents, tastes and medicines that made and make Sri Lanka famous. Stroll around the fragrant greenery and through the cardamom groves in the shade of huge tropical trees and give you a sense of smell a new lease on life.You can Smell,See and learn about Nutmeg, Pepper, Cloves, Curry, Cinnamon and many others at Matale, and experience the great riches of Sri Lanka’s cuisine and traditional Ayurveda therapy.
  • Check in to the hotel.
  • Hereafter witness a typical Kandyan cultural performance in Kandy.
  • Thereafter visit the Temple of Tooth, a deeply significant Buddhist site that contains a tooth of Buddha collected from his funeral pyre and this draws thousands of pilgrims from across the world.
  • Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
  • After breakfast proceed to The Kandy railway station.
  • Enjoy a scenic Train journey from Kandy railway station to NanuOya railway station. Addition to the breath-taking sceneries it is truly an unforgettable experience. The change in temperature will certainly take you by surprise.
  • Check in to the hotel.
  • Afternoon visit a Tea Plantation and factory. Find out how tea leaves end up in a steamy hot cup. Don’t forget to grab a few fresh tea packets on your way out.
  • Late afternoon enjoy a city tour in Little England – Nuwara Eliya.
  • Dinner and overnight accommodation at hotel.
  • After breakfast proceed Tissamaharama through beautiful Ella Gap.
  • En route visit Rawana Ella waterfall.

  • Afternoon enjoy a Jeep Safari at the Yala National Park. The Yala National Park is situated in the South East of Sri Lanka and offers wildlife enthusiasts an approach of life time to see wild boar, deer, leopards, crocodiles, monkeys in their national surroundings. But the Yala National Park is renowned more for its elephant’s safaris than anything else.
  • Back for dinner and overnight accommodation.
  • After breakfast proceed to your beach hotel.
  • En route visit The Dutch Fort in Galle. The Galle Fort is city with the perfect blend of past and present, the native and the colonial. Galle is located at the extreme southwest corner of the island where the shoreline turns east towards Matara and Tangalle. Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and then modified by the Dutch during the 17th century. During this time the fort became Sri Lanka’s main port and center of trade and commerce among the Persians, Arabians, Greeks, Romans, Malays and Indians. The Galle Fort is one of the best preserved examples of 17th century colonial fortifications in the world and is on the UNESCO list of world monuments
